Photoshop and Adobe illustrator:
In this part of the course I learned about making a collage on Photoshop using my personal liking and making the collage was a really nice experience. Photoshop is a program that lets you edit photos, and create your own images using shapes and text. The best part of this course was the collage making on Photoshop, it was fun finding images and fitting them in the right places and seeing all the colors. The project on Adobe illustrator (aka magazine project) was fun, instead of using Pixels in adobe illustrator you use vectors.

Cooking (Hospitality):
In Hospitality class we learned 3 recipes, and they were fun to make but took work. The best part of the course in my opinion was making the brownies. All the food Antonio and I made wasn't half bad since we had little experience. I learned how to make food other than a Omelet. At the end of the cooking session we would take or food home so our parents and family could taste and see how productive we were at school.
Wood working:
In the wood working course we learned how to use a exact o knife and cut thin wood to make the wood into patterns. At first we made out own blueprint/designs then we cut the paper shapes out and glued them on the wood. After that we cut the wood into that shape. After we cut all the wood we would put the wood back together to make the shape once again (but this time out of wood). After that we put tape on the wood so the pieces stayed together while we glued the wood pieces to a white wood piece or a background. We waited about a day or so before taking the tape off and sanding it before putting gloss then we waited another day. Last but not least we sanded the wood again and glossed it 2-3 before we finished the project. I didn't really have a favorite part in the course. Honestly I thought woodworking wasn't my thing.
Programming:
In the Programming course we learned about how to program the movement of characters in a program called Alice. In this program we could make stories and we scenes that featured a lot of different gimmicks. In this part of the course we had to make stories written by the teacher, and we also had to make our own story to create on Alice. The next part of the course was making circuits to put in a cardboard box. The purpose of this assignment was to make our partner move without having to speak to him/her. The last part of the course was programming a Lego Mindstorm NXT robot. There was a program on the School computer called Lego Mindstorm and this program made the robot able to move around, spin, talk, and light up. The Robot was full of functionality. The teacher made us into groups of 2-3 and gave us tasks to achieve on the robot. We were however required to measure how many wheel spins it would take for the robot to move "x" amount of cm (in this case it was 24). In all my favorite part of this was programming the NXT Mindstorm robots because of all the possibilities that were possible. For example you could make the Robot Move forward then stop and display a smile and say Hello.
